Expo Scotland Farm Based Renewables Exhibition & Conference

26th & 27th September at the Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh

The inaugural Energy Now Expo Scotland 2012 opens its doors on the 26th & 27th September at the Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh. Being held in association with the NFU Scotland and Scottish Land & Estates, the Energy Now Expo Scotland will comprise of an exhibition of over 70 suppliers representing the wind, solar, hydro, biomass, biogas and ground source heating sectors.

This will be complimented by a 2-day conference, which will be chaired by both the NFUS president Nigel Miller, as well as SL&E Chairman Luke Borwick. The conference will feature presentations on the latest issues affecting the renewables industry, as well as the role farmers & landowners have to play in the continued growth of the sector. The conference will also include energy specific panel debates – interactive sessions in which audience members will have the chance to quiz the panel of experts on the steps involved and potential challenges of each scheme.

Speakers already confirmed include:

– Stephen Norman – Senior wind energy consultant from the Met Office
– David Williams – British Hydropower Association Chairman
– Eric Dodd – Head of Operations at Community Energy Scotland
– Jamie Williamson – Owner of Alvie & Dalraddy Estates
– Jim Campbell – Renewable Energy Team Leader at SAC Consulting

Conference tickets are available at £99 per person per day, but members of both the NFUS and SL&E are entitled to half price entry – £50 per day.
